TherecentleakofPentagondocumentshasopenedaPandora"sboxattheinternationallevel.TheleakedUSintelligencedocumentscontainagrabbagofnationalsecuritysecretsincludingabouttheRussia-Ukraineconflict,theUS"successinpenetratingtheRussianmilitary,insightsintothemaneuveringsofIsraelandtheRepublicofKoreaandotherUSallies,andapreviouslyunknownsatellitesurveillancetechnology.

Asaresult,theglobalpartnersandalliesoftheUnitedStatesareraisingquestionsonthestatusofinternationallawonprivacy,digitalcopyrightandthesanctityofsovereignty.TheUS,itseems,iscaughtinatrap,asthePentagonleakhasdamagedtheUS"bilateralrelationswithFranceandGermany,whichwillhavemultipliersocioeconomic,geopoliticalandgeostrategicspilloverrepercussions.BothFranceandGermanyhavestronglycondemnedtheUSforitsmassiveespionageringandspyingonothercountriesandtheirleaders.

USdoesn"tspareevenalliesintermsofspying

Theleakeddocumentshavealsotriggeredahotdebateamongprominentregionalandglobalsecurityexpertsonthetiming,cause,objectiveandendgoalofthedigitalizedmadnesswhichhasnoendinsightandsparesnocountry.Manyarecriticizingtheillegalactofstealingcrucialofficialinformationfromconfidentialmeetingsandconversations,telephonecallsanddocumentsofvariousUSalliesincludingtheROK,Israel,France,GermanyandUkraine.TheUShasalsobeenspyingonRussiaandChina.

Apparently,thereisacleardivisionamongthesecurityexperts.SomehavetermedthedocumentleakafailureortotalcollapseoftheUSsecurityapparatus,enablingsomeonetopurloinandpostthedocumentsonfreeforminternetsites.Othersareoftheviewthattheleak,sinceitistheworkofaninsiderintheUSmilitary,isanattempttoderailthediplomaticrelationswithitsallies.

Onlyafewindependentinternationalrelationsexperts,however,havehighlightedtheallegedinvolvementoftheUSgovernmentandmilitaryinsabotagingChina"strack-twodiplomacyaimedathelpingendtheRussia-Ukraineconflict.

Whilethelatestintelligenceleak,oneofthebiggestinthepastdecade,hasupsetmanyUSallies,ithasalsorevealedtheUS"increasingworriesabouttheriseofChinainglobalgovernanceandinternationalrelations.

Ontheirpart,theUSadministrationandthecountry"smilitaryestablishmenthavesaidtheyaretakingtheleak"veryseriously"andsharedwiththemediathenewsthattheculprithasbeenarrested.Indeed,theleakhasexposedthevulnerabilityoftheUSdeepstate,anddatainsecurityintheDefenseDepartmentaswellasnon-defensedepartments,andintelligenceagenciesofthe"globalspymaster".

TherecentleakhasraisedseriousquestionsontheUS"capacitybuildingmechanism,too,anditsabilitytoproperlyhandleissuesrelatedtoprivacyandsecrecyandmanagebigdataatdifferentgovernmentlevels.

TimeandagainithasbeenprovedthattheUSneverfollowsinternationallaw,orrespectsothercountries"sovereigntyandterritorialintegrityand,instead,ithasalwaystriedtobulldozethemwithitsfraudulent,fake,fictionalandfabricatedpropagandacampaignsaswellasespionageinwhichso-calledhoneymoonspellsoffriendship,strategicpartnerships,regionalallymechanismsandevenclosemilitaryagreementshavebeenruined.

Theleak,infact,exposestheUS"doublestandardininternationalrelationsanddiplomacyanditsChina-containmentpolicy.

Ironically,someofthedocuments,whichsomeUSofficialssaidareauthentic,haverevealedtheextentofUSeavesdroppingonkeyregionalpartnersandglobalallies.TheleakeddocumentsalsohavedetailsabouttheUkrainianbattlefield,theuseofUSweaponsbyUkraineandthetrainingofUkrainiantroops,whichcouldaffectUkraine"smilitaryresponse,fieldpreparednessandtacticaloperations.

ThePentagonleakisaserioussetbacktoUkraine"swarstrategy,airdefensecapability,combatplansandcounter-offensivemeasures,aswellasathreattoitsnationalsecuritybecausetheleakeddocumentshaveextensivedetailsaboutitsmunitions,trainingandairdefensesystem.

Or,itcouldbeamildwarningtotheUkrainiangovernmenttostayawayfromChina"sdiplomaticeffortstoendtheconflict.

USlosinggriponglobalissues

Onethingisclear,however,thattheUSislosingitsgriponglobalissuesandevenitsalliesaretakingalternativemeasurestofurtherstrengthentieswithRussia,Chinaandotheremergingeconomiesaroundtheglobe.Thesealternativemeasures,alongwithmiddleplayersandmiddlecorridors,aredamagingtheUS"credibilityandunderminingitsmilitarypower.

Ontheotherhand,theleakeddocumentshavespreadpanicinmanycountries,promptingtheirgovernmentstofixtheirsecurityfaultlinesandrepairtheirwideningdiplomaticfractures.Yetdistrust,disharmonyanddisinformationarespreadinglikewildfire.

Unfortunately,theUShasbeenusingitstechnologicaladvantagestospyonitsalliesandpartnerswhichisnotonlyanillegalactbutalsoanactofbetrayal.TheROK,too,hasbeenaffectedbythePentagonleakbecausetheleakeddocumentscontaininternaldiscussionsamongtopROKsecurityofficials.

TheleakeddocumentshavealreadytriggeredstormsinSeoul,TelAvivandKyivalike.

Inconclusion,theleaksarepotentiallydamagingandcouldunderminethetrustbetweentheUSanditsallies,notleastbecausetheUShasbeenseriouslyviolatingeventhebasicconceptofinternationallaw,internationalrelations,diplomacy,nottospeakofmorality.

TheleakshavealsoexposedthegeographicaladvantagesoftheUSmilitaryglobaloutreachduetoitsintensespyingandespionageactivitiesaroundtheglobe.

It"stimetheUSstoppedusingitshigh-techadvantageasatooltointerfereinthedomesticaffairsofothercountriesandspyonothercountriesandtheirleaders.TheUS"surveillanceandespionageactivitiesareanti-humanandanti-peace.
